Department of Radiology & Imaging

High-definition imaging technology combined with expert interpretation to provide the accurate answers you need.

Overview

A correct diagnosis is the first step to a cure. At A. Care Hospital, we have invested in advanced imaging technology to ensure that our doctors don't just guess—they know.

Located centrally in Tura, our Department of Radiology & Imaging operates 24/7 to support emergency cases, trauma victims, and routine checkups. We believe that technology is only as good as the people behind it, which is why our department is staffed by qualified Radiologists and trained technicians who prioritize patient safety and comfort.

Our Imaging Technologies

Computed Tomography (CT Scan) When time is critical, speed matters. Our advanced CT Scan unit provides high-resolution images of the body's internal structures in seconds.

  1. Brain & Spine: Rapid detection of strokes, head injuries, and tumors.
  2. Body Imaging: Detailed views of the chest and abdomen to diagnose infections, appendicitis, or cancers.
  3. CT Angiography: Visualizing blood vessels to detect blockages without invasive surgery.

Ultrasound & Color Doppler A safe, radiation-free way to see inside the body.

  1. Pregnancy Scans: High-clarity scans to monitor fetal growth and health (Antenatal scans).
  2. Abdominal Scans: Detecting kidney stones, liver issues, and gallstones.
  3. Color Doppler: Assessing blood flow in arteries and veins to detect clots (DVT) or poor circulation.

Digital X-Ray We have moved beyond old-fashioned film. Our Digital Radiography (DR) system produces crystal-clear images instantly with significantly less radiation exposure than traditional X-rays.

  1. Trauma Support: Immediate imaging for fractures and bone injuries.
  2. Chest X-Rays: Rapid screening for pneumonia, TB, and lung infections.

Mammography Specialized low-dose imaging for the early detection of breast conditions, when treatment is most effective.

  1. Screening Mammograms: Routine checks for women to detect changes before symptoms appear.
  2. Diagnostic Mammograms: Detailed evaluation of lumps, pain, or other breast concerns.
  3. Women-Centric Care: Performed in a private, comfortable setting by trained female technicians wherever possible.

Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) A simple, non-invasive test to measure how well your lungs are working.

  1. Asthma & COPD Assessment: Diagnosing and monitoring chronic respiratory conditions.
  2. Pre-Surgical Screening: Evaluating lung capacity before major surgeries.
  3. Occupational Health: Useful for individuals exposed to dust, smoke, or industrial pollutants.

ECHO & TMT (Cardiac Diagnostics) See also: Cardiology Department Specialized imaging for the heart to assess pumping function, valve health, and stress tolerance.

Why Our Diagnostics Matter

Low Radiation Protocols: We adhere to the ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) to ensure patient safety, especially for children and pregnant women.

Digital Reports: Your scans are digital, meaning they can be easily shared with specialists anywhere in the world for a second opinion if needed.

24/7 Readiness: Accidents don't wait for office hours. Our imaging team is always on standby for emergency cases.
