Overview

Ensuring a safe, pain-free, and comfortable surgical experience through expert monitoring and advanced care.
Overview
For many patients, the thought of "going under" for surgery is more frightening than the surgery itself. At A. Care Hospital, the Department of Anaesthesiology is dedicated to erasing that fear.
Our Anaesthesiologists are the "silent guardians" in the operating room. While the surgeon focuses on the procedure, our sole focus is you. From the moment you enter the operation theatre until you are fully awake and recovering, we monitor your heart, breathing, and vital functions second by second. Our mission is simple: to ensure you are safe, comfortable, and pain-free throughout your journey.

Our Services: Safety at Every Step
Pre-Anaesthetic Checkup (PAC) Clinic
Your safety begins before you even enter the operating room. Before any surgery, our specialists conduct a thorough health assessment (PAC).
• Risk Assessment: We evaluate your heart, lungs, and medical history to choose the safest type of anaesthesia for your body.
• Patient Counseling: We explain the process to you and your family to reduce anxiety, answering any questions you have about "going to sleep."
Surgical Anaesthesia Services
We utilize advanced techniques to suit the complexity of the surgery:
• General Anaesthesia: For major surgeries where the patient is completely asleep and monitored by advanced life-support systems.
• Regional & Spinal Anaesthesia: Used often for C-sections or orthopaedic surgeries, where only a specific part of the body is numbed. You remain awake but feel no pain.
• Local Anaesthesia & Sedation: For minor procedures, ensuring anxiety-free treatment.
Pain Management (Acute & Chronic)
We believe that pain should not be a part of healing.
• Post-Operative Pain Relief: We use advanced techniques like Epidural Analgesia and Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA) pumps, allowing patients to recover from surgery without severe pain.
• Painless Delivery: Working with the Obstetrics team, we provide labor analgesia (Epidurals) to help mothers experience childbirth with minimal pain.
• Chronic Pain Management: Helping patients suffering from long-term back pain, nerve pain, or cancer-related pain find relief through medication and nerve blocks.
Critical Care & Emergency Support
Anaesthesiologists are experts in airway management and resuscitation. Our team plays a leading role in the Emergency Room and ICU, managing life-support systems for critically ill patients and trauma victims.
Why Our Anaesthesia Team Matters
• Advanced Monitoring: Our Operation Theatres are equipped with state-of-the-art workstations that track your vitals (heart rate, oxygen, blood pressure) in real-time.
• Focus on Comfort: We prevent nausea and grogginess after surgery using modern medications.
• 24/7 Availability: Whether it is an emergency C-section at 2 AM or a trauma case, our team is always on site.
